Doug joined A&G in 2020 where he has served as a Senior Managing Director, bringing more than 15 years of experience delivering strategic advisory, investment sales and lease-mitigation solutions for complex real estate portfolios. He advises both healthy and distressed companies across North America, with deep sector expertise spanning retail, restaurants, healthcare, hospitality and industrial.
Doug currently leads portfolio-optimization and real estate strategy initiatives for Leslie’s Pool and Reebok, overseeing lease restructurings, dispositions and long-term footprint rationalization. He recently directed the strategic wind-down of Stance, executing a coordinated disposition strategy designed to maximize value and mitigate liability exposure. He is also highly active in the valuation and sale of fee-owned property portfolios, structuring competitive processes that drive recovery and liquidity for clients and stakeholders.
Over the course of his career, Doug has executed large-scale engagements for a blue-chip client roster that includes Bed Bath & Beyond, Rite Aid, David’s Bridal, GNC and CAVA. His work regularly involves multi-state lease renegotiations, real estate carve-outs, court-approved sales processes and coordinated negotiations with landlords, lenders and equity sponsors.
Based in New York, Doug earned an MBA with a concentration in real estate from The George Washington University and remains active in leading industry organizations, including the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
